We are standing on Dominic Street in downtown Galway, across from the Roisin Dubh pub. This pub is one of Irelands premier live music venues that provides a stage for solo artists and musicians from bands such as Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Thin Lizzy, The Hot House Flowers and many more. The Roisin Dubh website is well worth checking out.

Along Dominic Street there are a number of authentic pubs, many with live Irish music in the evenings. This area of Galway lies a little off the beaten tourist trail, therefore the discoveries you make here are unlikely to be featured in many guide books.
